Is it hard drive problems Ark? Grab SpinRite. It'll fix and restore the data of any harddrive that doesn't have broken mechanical parts.

How disappointing, ASW's flashlight shader doesn't have any more filters than Src2007...

I was hoping it at least had some more... like experimental Portal 2 ones...

My computer doesn't even start up properly, when I turn it on it goes to 'Startup Repair' and will not go to anything else. So I can't really install a new program.

SpinRite is it's own DOS OS, so you just burn it on a disk and boot from it.

Its a really remarkable program. It's saved my ass from harddrive failures twice.

Edit: Haha the repair guy probably uses SpinRite.
