CC much appreciated, as always.

I'm not really seeing Juxtaposition. I know you're going for a Nature vs Man theme, but it doesn't seem as obvious as it could. Maybe add in some more nature, or snapping supports (to show nature winning over) or even leaning supports? I don't know, it's cool, it just doesn't seem like there's the right level of contrast. Anyway, keep at it, looking pretty good.

lol just wanted to post an early wip, since everybody else did

http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/518/freakvg7.jpg

it's the first model i exported for this competition

my theme is virtuality & reality, the pc monitor should represent an opened gate to virtuality (water is flowing out :P) ill try to project a camera onto the "screen" and add a nice landscape into the screen & a lake in the front (so the water will make sense ;)

and i also got some other nice ideas, i hope ill be able to realize them ^

Ps: didn't set any lightning / haven't done any bumpmaps etc., its just the model so far.

Incredible! It just hit me! It's so simple! It was staring us all in the face for so long and I didn't realise... I didn't realise! It's genious! I shall materialise it into a map tommorow, at which time I shall proceed to mock you all for missing it! It's just genious that's all! ^^

Only things that take away from that is the concrete block for a walkway at the front, the props on that walkway (they don't compliment maps well), and the fog. :P

Ok, I agree that I have to change the fog color, maybe some dark-gray-ish? or something more blue.
And what do you mean Jman? that I should delete the concrete where my building is built on or only remove the walkway at the front? and change or delete the props?

What you should do in my own opinion is use the displacement you have underneath, raise it a little where the walkway is, and use that. OR round off the corners of that walkway, or make it into stairs. It just looks out of place as such a small ramp. For the props I suggest something static that looks like it's been there for awhile. Like one of those small gates with the hazard stripes on it.

Thanks! , I didn't even think of that... I'll make the walkway higher, and give it some rounded corners.
I will also change the fog color.
