My entry was shit, bland, and not a piece of work I really wanted to show off. I've taken some elements from it and started a new map, a better map that's less shit.

As you can see i added some support to the flyovers and added railings to the bridges, catwalks and flyovers.

Going to remove half of the lights on the left and add a row on the side of the level above. A small extension of the water to the outside of the building to emphasize the glass wall.

Does anyone know why the glass on the right looks so different from the light on the left? The right version looks a lot cleaner and more suitable for my building but somehow it only has this look at this window. I have placed cubemaps and built them so i don't think that could be the problem.

I'm pretty happy where this building is going. I think it could provide the basis for some good vertical and horizontal battles. next up is finalizing the railings and adding doors. As someone else has asked, should we make rooms too?

I really like yours magoc, love the lighting. I only hope that when mine is finished, my lighting looks as smooth. Have your tried attaching those specific brush faces to a cubemap?

I see these maps it makes me want to open Hammer again and I was up until 1am last night.

I still have to fix the shadows, tables, add chairs, build the side area and actually build a decent atrium.

@magoc: the thing to watch out for, is that there's curvy architecture inside, but the perimeter is basically a box around it, not saying it doesn't look good, but it seems inconsitent at the moment.
@IMUS: nice, some of your detailing looks a bit cluncky.
@popcornjake: shot from my initial post is also from the NYC Guggenheim. FLW is one of the greatest architects of all time.

IMUS, pleeeease model a good bit of that after you rough it out! Brushes wouldn't do that justice :P

@904: Thanks for the constructive feedback. I'm not really sure though what you mean with the perimeter being a box, what exactly are you referring to because everything is inside (except for the water, but I don't think you mean that).

The reason for the flyovers is that they cross eachother exactly at the point where the two 'main streets' meet. It's supposed to be the landmark/centerpiece for whatever stages come next and what expansions are made in those stages.

Here's an overview that gives a better view where what is. Maybe you could point out what you mean. Thanks again for helping out with trying to improve it.
