It is not a requirement to do so. If i wanted to take different pictures of my map the water wouldn't stich together properly.

note: Cropping is also allowed (as it has always been) to get that panoramic feel.

I'd play around a bit, plenty of time left.

That's really nice IMUS but i don't understand why you've used TF2. Your map isn't using any of the TF2 assets and is not set in the TF2 universe.

I used TF2 because I thought the textures and plant models would work better for what I'm attempting. Plus a lot of HL2 textures are also available anyway.

Well due to me leaving tomorrow i will be submitting my picture today.
This is my Final.

I decided to go for a train station, just kinda figured it made an obvious choice.

I'm betting the sun.

Yes i still am unsure about putting the sun on the sides, bu i felt that a glaring bright sun in the center would kinda detract from the rest of the image.
Yeah i'll be heading out later today, but i wanted some time to do other stuff besides chugging away at a map :)

I'm not sure, but I think if you have a light_env̈̇͗i̒̽̔̓̔r̽̂̊o̽ͯͥͪ̈͒̋ͯnͮ̑̐̎̂̽ͩ̚ment but no actual sun the level will still be lit in the same way, just no glowing ball of yellow to screw up the shot. Of course this would look weird in a normal level, but for a single picture I doubt anyon̞̱̤̱̤̮͎͝e̝ w̉̑oͨͩͧ̋̀̈́̚u͂͒͗̋̒ͪld n͉͉̖̖oticë͕̠̬̋̀.

Yeah, the original concept had the sun kinda shining through the building, but when i saw that beautiful shadow from the pillar on the left i wanted to leave it where it was. I also probably could have increased the positions height by a little.

All in All though, It will have to do :)

Almost done, just having trouble getting hdr working. The lighting on some models looks odd, like the plants to the right and bottom right. If I can fix those two things I'll be in good shape.
