I had this problem. Everything was cool in my head, and once I put it into Hammer it turned out shit.

Chalk up another no-entry here.

<excuses>
I didn't have as much time to work on my entry as I'd liked, then I got a bizarre error with glowing lines and a shiny door after increasing the lightmap. Besides which, I'm on 56k right now and couldn't upload the images even if I wanted.
</excuses>

Promise I'll finish it and post it in the map pimpage thread.

Well this battle has gone down the hole, and is was supposed to end today? Where the hell is 904?

I'm pretty sure it's the end of Sep 02?

Plus 904 usually can accept entries a few hours late.

I have for once not run out of ideas to finish my map with!
...sadly, I ran out of time instead, and haven't had time to work on it at all the last month almost, so I won't be able to show you anything.

Read the OP. He clearly states the battle ends at 10pm GMT, but 904 is usually flexible with a couple of late entries.
I basically need to iron some of the creases with my map on the coach/train home and then submit. Didnt' get to finish to the standard of would of liked, but it will do.

Some with HUD some without. Also, tell me how the hell you did all that. I can't work displacements for shit.

Dang, I'll retake some shots on the train home, but it'll look exactly the same.

I seem to have conquered displacements finally heh, custom textures go along way though.

Hollow...were you perhaps thinking of The Goonies when you made that? The boat isn't exactly a pirate ship but it really reminds me of that movie when I look at it. The only problem I see is those particle systems. The stream breaks up in to separate sprites way too early, making it look really unnatural. Not a huge issue, just thought I'd point that out though. Other than that it's...glorious. I might vote for you. :D

It's a shame I didn't see this battle when it first started, I would have probably participated. The theme is to my liking. Maybe I'll obtain freakish motivation and finish a scene in a matter of hours.

Really good, like nub said those stream break into separate sprites, if you have the time you should extract the water steam particle from l4d/l4d2 it looks really good.
