Ooh, competition :D

I like it, however the sunlight doesn't match the skybox texture, it is clashing with the sky. The lightning is a little too yellow for my likes.

that's because in the picture, you don't see the part of the texture with the sun in it

I've used Valve's original light_environment settings for that skybox, but as source-maps said; you can't see the sun from that angle.

On an other note, I seem to have a problem with saving the map in Ep 2's folder, and it's making it impossible to compile the map. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

You can place the vmf anywhere and compile it a compiled bsp version will allways be in the same location, then you can copy it into the maps folder (as a workaround) but I doubt EP2 is actually causing the problem. Can you post your latest compile log?

Btw do you have spaces in the filename if so, remove them.

yeah, joining this competition. :) very good template btw, makes a lot of fun to map with it because the dimensions are well chosen.

Trims man, TRIMS! You submission would look so much better with trimming on the edges of the tower and even on the bridge. (ie. marnamai added trim around the holes/supports of the bridge in his pic)

Maybe it's just me but I don't see the template anywhere in there?

Are those balloons models? Looks epic, needs better lighting though. And more custom textures.

well, heres the proof:

i just turned it upside down and create a little placeholder between every two template to compensate the blocks on the sides of the template.

maybe make it abandoned, with the water drained. That would probably make it recognizable.
