Let me guess, you didn't nodraw all non-visible faces, and you put a huge skybox around the whole thing with no hint brushes  -- I can't believe your map is 130mb while that huge Minerva: Metastasis map was only 13mb :?

Anyways, I feel bad about this battle because I really want to do it, but I'm too busy with work, school, and the machinima (which is taking hours of my time every day)

I would like to try a map battle but im not 100% confident of my skills yet.

Maybe if somthing that gives me a great idea comes along I'll give it a go.

Btw. to whomever was doing the hoover dam, it doesnt have to be like exact height. Have you ever seen anything on liek camera tricks? You can like adcjsut the camera and stuff, making it look bigger or smaller. so you can make your dam like 50% smaller but make it look jsut as big.

Or you could just learn how to optimize so your bsp isn't 130mb

Argh, I really want to participate in a mapping contest, but I have a habit of always perfecting my maps b4 release, which takes WAY too long. And I also don't have all the time in the world to participate (school, homework, my other hobby (drawing), etc.)

When I saw your creations in the other mapping contests, I felt rather jealous; I WAS going participate in Mapping Contest #4, but I was tapped out of ideas and gave up.

P.S., plzz dont delete this post, I had no where else to post it.

EDIT: its on topic, so dont worry. BK
