Highslide Image Pop Up

Postby Blink on Mon Jun 30, 2008 4:57 pm

Thanks to the efforts of zombie you should now see the wonderous Highslide script in use on the forums.

If an image is over 600px it will be clickable to pop up.

Things to note:

 • You will need to let the images load in the forum first before they can be clicked.
 • It makes things quicker if you still keep your images to a reasonable 800x600 size, high resolutions can cause it to get a bit choppy.

You can see an example in this thread.

Would be nice if you could use the magnification icon when hovering over an image. ;)

I wonder if it would be possible to thumbnail an image and make it work with highslide. For example, like in the portfolio example you've got 3 thumbnails in a row. Maybe it would be possible to have it so that when you click on one highslide opens a larger version? Maybe have something like

Code: Select all

And the x,y sets the thumbnail dimensions?

Maybe also,

Code: Select all

And string allows you to place a caption? I noticed on the highslide website that there are many different types of highslide arrangments, and I like the one you guys chose the best (clean!) but a opttional caption might be nice?! Expecially for portfolios...
