More than source?

what are the chances of Interlopers expanding beyond the subtitle "Half-Life 2 News & Tutorials"?

not for Unreal or CryEngine, but I'm aiming at the crazy Verse Applications... Up till now I wasn't able to find a development support site.
I understand that can't be expected from a one guy project, as Verse is.
But they really are great opensource tools that seems to be ignored by the main game development community... so my brain started bleeping again, and i thought what if a site like Interlopers would have a sub forum where it focuses on Verse in particular, maybe that way we could get a Verse Dev community going...?

Indeed; Jister and I played with it and it's quite amazing that you can work on the same scene realtime; the gui is awesome and it's entirely open source :o

We've been through the subsite thing for the much more substantial base UT engine mappers, and it didn't happen. I don't see it happening for this, but damn good find, that's a fantastic program!

Just a note, I'd take this thread a lot more seriously if you sorted the grammar out in the title.

I still want my unreal section. GIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Sorry let me re-phase that I would be most grateful if blink make a unreal section of the site. This will encourage me to give interlopers a nice Christmas gift (bribery at its finest).

But yeah those tools where quite nice.

The only way another engine would work is if a good amount of people in the community are educated and interested in modding that engine. If this were true for UT3 and the Interlopers, there would be a UT3 Engine section here. If there are enough people interested in Verse I'm sure a section will precipitate here, but we won't know until someone tries and pushes for it.

hahaha sorry for my spelling mistake, think i'm dyslectic...

anyway, yes these tools are awesome!! if you wanna jump right into them, follow this little tut i made in setting up an network environment to connect and run the different applications.

sorry just watched my tut and it gets a little choppy on the end, but you should still get the overal picture of how it works (and i do have the tendency to mumble alot :) )

there's also info and the most important links I could find on Verse. (first link in post)

I joint the dev mail list for verse and found out some really awesome things being made Verse; for example one guy made a real time acoustic simulation for blender with it... meaning he gets an exact simulation of sound bouncing around according to the room he models. How he did this beats me, but he used Verse for it...? so it sound like this verse is even beyond what i thought it would/could do...

anyway I'm not up to date myself with it's" whats and whats nots" but thats one of the reasons we need a great community (like lopers) to get involved in this and put it on the map!
