FORUM LATEST - auto update?

Often if i'm doing other stuff on the pc i'll keep the interlopers window open on the main page and refresh it to see what new posts have been made.
Is there a way to aid me in my quest for complete laziness that means i don't have to refresh the page and that the latest forum posts just scroll down as they are posted?

Not to my knowledge, and I'm not planning to mod this version of phpbb.

I'm not planning to add a scrolling Forum Latest table, look tacky. Just hit F5 every now and then

if you are really lazy you can open the forum in a iframe and have javascript refresh the page every minute or so
