for v.31, you take your brushes and press CTRL+T to make it an entity, then choose between propper_model and propper_lod. there are no prefabs. also, there is no "automtically compile" option available in this version. i will probably revert to the suggested version, unless i can get some clarification on v.31

Another reason to downgrade your copy: IIRC Crazycarl said rewritting the propper code completely for 0.31 and not having tested it enough.

Wait a second...does Propper v.24 work with Source 2009? Because I've had a problem for at least 3 months now, where I cannot access Hammer for Source 2007.

When I open Source SDK and go to pick Source 2007, it shows all of the games greyed out. Since the games are greyed out, it won't let me open Hammer for Source 2007.

in v.24 there is a propper for ep1, orangebox, and source2007. just to be sure i dont fuck things up...which one of those should i pick to make it work in source2009? also, for FYI, the VDC page... https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Propper ...appears to go on the newest version, which calls for turning the brushes into a propper_model entity.

I'll be available, thanks man. i am really itching to get back to work on the mod and test your code base.

EDIT: I tried a few times with the Propper v.24 and this is what I keep getting...
Code: Select all
** Executing...
** Command: propper.exe
** Parameters: -game "z:\steam\steamapps\zonbie\half-life 2 episode two\ep2" "z:\steam\steamapps\zonbie\sourcesdk_content\ep2\propper\propper_test_stairs"

* Could not execute the command:
   propper.exe -game "z:\steam\steamapps\zonbie\half-life 2 episode two\ep2" "z:\steam\steamapps\zonbie\sourcesdk_content\ep2\propper\propper_test_stairs"
* Windows gave the error message:
   "Access is denied."

(bump) I've been fucking around for a week trying to get this Propper issue resolved (uninstall, reinstall, relocate, change version, etc) but I have yet to successfully create a model. Maybe the problem is that I have Steam installed on a drive other than C:/ and Propper is wigging out about that by saying "access denied". I think I might have had the best chance with version.31 because it didn't say access denied, and it created some files like the QC. But where is the actual model?

Until I can sort this problem out...if I occasionally uploaded a file or two onto here via Dropbox or something similar (with custom materials as needed), could one of you kind gentlemen Propper it for me and re-upload it?

does the folder 'z:\steam\steamapps\zonbie\sourcesdk_content\ep2\propper\propper_test_stairs' exist? In some circumstances windows' 'the path does not exist' gets translated to 'access denied'.
