Ahh shit, no 2009 codebase? Well that's just brilliant.

Seems highly unlikely. Tony Sergi pretty much fixed the SDK, but that updated was never released. Then he ported the SDK template to the Alien Swarm codebase, and was told by Valve that he wasn't allowed to release that since he no longer contracted for Valve. Now he doesn't have the time to update the SDK, and Mike Durand doesn't work on that anymore.

It seems unlikely we'll ever get another codebase update from Valve. All we'll get is limited "authoring tools", and useless hat crap.

I wanted to learn how to edit maps for source engine using the Hammer editor. I can't get it to work at all.
I patched C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\m_nadal\sourcesdk with the SDK_FIX.exe, but I have difficulty configuring the gadget.
I click on the spanner, and get Source SDK window. For a project name, I type in Half-Life 2, select the 2009 branch, and set Path to C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\m_nadal\half-life 2\hl2.
Then I click on Hammer in the gadget.

It shoots back with:
Windows cannot find '\bin\source2009\bin\hammer'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

I don't want to start a new mod, just edit my first HL2 map. What should I put in the config?

Thanks!
