CS:GO SDK Won't open?

Postby Kubata on Tue May 22, 2012 1:47 am

Hey guys, finally got aboard the CSGO Beta train and Ive got around to downloading the SDK. I managed to open it once but some weird things happened:

1. I tried to compile a map and the new compiler opened briefly, disappeared.
2. I tried verifying cache/reinstalling CS:GO SDK and now it won't even open. Steam launcher opens briefly, disappears and no SDK shows up.

I tried looking for topics about this on polycount, steamforums, VDC etc, but couldn't find anything. I figure this may be a common problem but apparently not :(

I appreciate any help :)

Works fine for me. Did you check to see if the map actually compiled, because in the new sdk the compile window closes automatically when it's done.

I also have this problem, the compile window just flashes on the screen. Deleting and reinstalling have no effect on it, this problem only occurs on CS:GO SDK, others work just fine.

Little different tho, I can still open the SDK, but the compile window just flashes on the screen. This was the only thread I found about this problem.

Restarted steam and computer and that seemed to help the problem. I wish that I could be more help to others with this problem but I can't find any reason why it suddenly started working again.
