Odd bug preventing me from parenting brush entities

So I've been working on a map for CSGO and I parented a func_brush that was solid, enabled and visible that also was named. Parented that to a track train. However in game the func_brush is not visible and under ent_fire it does not show as a named entity.

This only happens on a map I had made in 2012 but lost the VMF because I reinstalled CSGO to a SSD and didnt not remember that the VMFs for CSGO were under the same parent folder (now theyre with all my other source vmfs under my old steam user name directory) as the game. I decompiled the map as I searched for the VMF and could not find it any where on my 6 drives. Im not sure but that may be the issue because I can go on a new map, create a func_brush and parent it to anything else and it works fine in game but not this map.

I've been working on this VMF now for the last two weeks so I would not like to remake it but I guess I can if need be.

If anyone has any idea how to resolve this or if I have to remake the map on a new VMF file from scratch that would be great to know.

Go to Map->Check for errors. Your brush might be invalid.
Also post the compile log.

But in general, don't work on decompiled maps.

Alt-P brings up no errors besides I/O due to names (!self, etc)


EDIT:

Okay so it seems as though on a new map, brush based entities (mainly func_brush and illusions do not like to be parented to func_tracktrains. Not sure why this is...


EDIT2: Came up with a way to hide the TrackTrain and not use the func_brush. It doesnt look as pretty but I guess itll work.
