My German is a little rusty, but I believe it says something about a settlement in Africa where they were searching for diamonds. And something about a tree maybe?

Yeah, a german dude found diamonds somewhere in africa and people became crazy... so they built a settlement there and left it at some point...

About the tree: He says, they were lying there like plants under a tree (the diamonds) and then he became rich.

Now the town is in ruins, but photographers love the place, because they can make photos of sand, some old houses, more sand, an old casino and even more sand. And besides the ice factory, that doesn't work anymore, you can also make photos of sand!! how awesome!

I take some photos when I go exploring, I post the good ones on my Flickr, here:

The vast majority of my photos are from abandoned buildings.

Some really cool shots of an abandoned Russian space shuttle project. (like, the launch site)

...this thread isn't dead to me...
I come back to it every now and then to find some reference picts... :/
The inspiration as to why I'm here: Adam Foster; Minerva. Great job man.

I just noticed. I've been using your flickr for reference images for ages. And now I've just realised you're on Interlopers. You're a contact and everything. Holy shit.
