The Official Interlopers Gentleman's Games Club

Game discussion and other related chat.

Do you want an Interlopers TF2 Server? If so, how much could you contribute?

Yes, and I'd contribute £10 a month, or more, for I am generous and rich.

That's awesome, cuz I could go for some Gentelman's action right now. But I worry it might degrade the turnout for "official" events.

The official events will still be separate, in that they'll be announced ahead of time both on here and on steam. I can't imagine having more spontaneous games would reduce the players at the larger matches.

I'm calling an end to the poll now, and declaring that 'TF2 Every Week' is the winner. A new poll will be set up in a second asking whether you'd like an Interlopers TF2 server, and if so how much you'd be willing to contribute to running it. Please vote so that I can get a vague idea on how likely it is we could get our own server to shoot each other in.

Also, please vote honestly, as it helps nobody if you say you're going to contribute money for a server, but can't actually. Bear in mind the contributions would likely have to come through Paypal.

Before I can vote I need to check how everything works regarding donating to paypal.

I'm not entirely sure, but I would assume that a Paypal account could be set up specifically so that people could send a monthly payment to it, and the bill would automatically be transferred out of that account to whoever we set up the server with. Obviously you'd retain the right to cancel the monthly payment whenever you felt you needed to.

I would only expect you to receive 1/10 of whatever is estimated here.

Lol, I wish I had faster internet on my server. I run servers for free...

I don't care about my loss. It's almost free to run these servers...

So I have a bank account and a card that can be used over the internet (Which I've used to buy Steam games), theoretically it should work to set up a payment from my bank to paypal, yes? If so, then I could at least donate £5 a month.

Yeah, that's how I use my account with paypal, and I already send monthly installments from my bank, via paypal, to Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Hopefully this should work in exactly the same way.

Excellent.

Oh yeah, I just realised that after the 28th this month I might even be able to donate more every once in a while.

New game will be on Sunday at 10pm. Local times etc. on the event page. I'm not sure if we can gatecrash Jman's server again, but hopefully we'll be there again (208.167.224.185:27015).

Yeah go for it, it's always good to get the server full without having to "jumpstart" it with only 6 people.

Well, I got paid yesterday, so I thought I'd get a server for the month to try it out, and perhaps entice more people to contribute towards next month. As a result, we now have an official Interlopers Gentlemen's Club server! I'm still setting it up at the moment, but it looks like we'll be able to play the match tomorrow on it.

The server address is 85.236.101.5:27115.

Also, please give me any map requests, and whatnot.

Maps made by Interlopers' users, that would be great!

Totally, but I still need a list of the maps to add them to the server. I can't remember any specific lopers maps off the top of my head.
