i'm not entirely convinced the performance gain is worth the extra hundredish dollars =/
but then again, i've been out of the game for a bit, and my judgement's a bit shit.

You'll also want to get an aftermarket cooler for your CPU since it looks like you're going to overclock

ah yes, a new cooler! although i don't plan on overclocking for a year or two (imo there's no reason to do so until things start chucking), i do want a non-stock cooler.

What case do you have?

an old coolermaster case with the sides off

(ps, i'm digging the fourth coord in your location)

=O that's actually the one i was considering getting.

my paycheck was 150$ more than i was expecting, so maybe i will get the Ti.

updated specs:
intel i5-2500k (# N82E16819115072) for $215
coolermaster hyper212 HSF (# N82E16835103099) for $35
biostar tz68a+ (# N82E16813138319) for $110
evga "superclocked" gtx560ti (# N82E16814130610) for $250
corsair 2x4gb ddr3 1333 (# N82E16820233192) for $40

now it's $700 with tax and shipping.
where's the bottleneck on this? i have a feeling it's the ram, but i can't find too much difference among dddr3 chips as far as timings go, and i don't plan on overclocking for at least a year or so.
also, considering getting a new power supply, but that'll come when i decide to condense my 6-7 harddrives into a 2-3 2tb drives.

Lack of SSD.

I just got GEILBlack Dragon DDR2 Ram, 4 Gigs of it which makes 6 GB total in my PC. Not only does it look cool. It performs amazing! I can load maps in bf3 in about 5-10 seconds now.

The rest of my computer is XFX Radeon 5770 HD 1 GB GDDR5
AMD Phenom Triple Core X3 processor 2.3 ghz (sad that its not more ghz)
Black Series mother board Not sure of its specs
Rosewill 750 watt powersupply.
2 GB of an unknown "chrome" memory, It may be kingston, too lazy to look.

Hard to say, bottlenecks are relative to what you are doing and what your tasks require of your hardware. Most programs only benefit from faster cpus, memory intensive programs require faster or more ram and ultragames requires a fast cpu and a faster gpu (though usually, if the cpu is fast enough for the game, adding extra juice will hardly increase performace, contrary to a faster gpu). I dont see tight bottlenecks, so id spend whatever money you have left on a faster cpu or gpu (or an SSD, they are godlike).

1. How would one see the dragons if all memory slots are full anyway?
2. You realise memory is about as fast as its slowest component (which may be the probably way cheaper kingston)?
3. Loading maps is hardly ram dependant (hdd is bottleneck there)
4. If you want real speed increase see if you can unlock the forth core in your cpu.

Come on man, those things are expensive and any SSD you could get at a reasonable price would only be able to fit you OS and few games on.
