Accessing entities programmatically

Postby Lex Cayman on Fri Jul 23, 2010 10:05 pm

What would be the best way to access a few entities programmatically?

Example:

I'm creating a custom weapon. When the user fires SecondaryAttack(), I want to apply an env_screeneffect - probably just the advisor blast to start.

Unfortunately, I can't access this entity within my code. I'm thinking I need to create a new class that inherits from it, and create a header file for that?

what do you mean when you say you can't access it within your code? have you found the cpp for the screeneffect?
