ive looked through your paste bin code and couldnt see exactly what was wrong,
however this seems to work for me, its a duplicate of the antlion named fireantlion , hasnt broken the original antlion, and seems to work just fine.
im sorry i couldnt be of more help, but perhaps this will help you find the problem in your code.

Your code couldn't possibly work though. AE_firelion would never work since its not in the model.

i thought you wanted a standalone npc, so i assumed you would have a custom model, just change them back to the default antlions acts and it works fine , tried and tested, or i could send you fireantlion.mdl

EDIT:

Tested your code. More errors than expected.

1. Yours works in alienswarm. My mod isn't alienswarm. :|

2. You would have to change multiple other files such as blood etc to even get your code to work.

3. Your files ask for animationbases which don't exist in 2007's code. ¬_¬

I just tried your code, and I didn't get your problems. However the Antlions doesn't attack anything even though their relationships are set in the code.

My version was for Alien swarm , ill just convert it to orange box and repost it,
it shouldnt be hard tho ive done it previously with differnt npcs in orangebox.

and if you still need that model ill post it.
