:? How? :?:

You would need to ask brisck1 for permission to do so.

First you would extract all the custom materials and models from the de_forest.bsp and put them in you HL2DM folder. You would also need to extract the default CSS textures and models he used in the map (if any) from the counter-strike source shared GCF. Then you'd have to decompile the map and open it in hammer for HL2DM. Then you'd change all the spawns to HL2DM spawns, delete the func_buyzones, and delete the bomb sites. Now you'd compile the map (I'd hate to do that, probably take a whole day lol). Then would BSPzip all the custom models and materials back into the bsp.

Sounds like something you want to do?

Or you could just use entspy. Dunno if hl2dm and cs use different bsp versions though

Those unbelievable screenshots have inspired me to download CS-S, just so I can play this map....

From looking at your Nuclear Dawn map, Robert, you are clearly a bloody brilliant 3D artist, and should be able to EASILY get yourself a game development job.....

I though that first screenshot was a piece of art you used for your influence to make the map not that it was actually your map.

There's no other word for it...'WOW!!' De_forest is flamin wicked! Even on my poor little "intel onboard" graphics laptop it looks absolutely stunning!! What strikes me the most is the variation in terrain! Trees, bushes, plants, water, hills, rocks.....all fit together as you would expect to see in a real forest. This just goes to show what is possible with source!! Cant wait to see more of the modders work and others (new to the scene so I've not seen many mod maps).

Nomatter how you wanna put it, nomatter how well it's faked, foliage is the most annoying thing to make because it's never real. The whole point of 3D gaming is highly detracted when it's all 2D alpha-channeled planes all over the place. Just my opinion...

Quite a number of areas in desperate need of clipping. Played this last night and saw so many people getting stuck on rocks and little beds of the props in the bombsites. :-D

Is this seriously still an ongoing thread? Wow, must be that good.

I mean, no offense to you, but I think Interlopers needs a new spotlight. De_Forest has been in it for so long now. It's a fantastic and lush map, definitely something fresh for Source, but nonetheless it's been in the spotlight for too long.

Maybe that map Warby and Hessi are working on? It got released at FPSBanana.
