My first Source map!
My second release of said map!
Hooray!

I would love some feedback on this map. Really all that is missing is some good solid play tests on a full server. If anyone who runs their own dedicated server ends up liking this map, perhaps we could arrange some host time for it? :D

I like the mirror Style of your Map, buuuuut what i dont like is that you repeat 2-3 Textures all the Time. And another Point that "sucks" is the lack of Details.

So drop in some random Models and Decals and use more Textures, then your Map becomes really really nice ;)

But for your first Map its a Good work! Keep it up...

When I think of an ambush, i think of a road trough the woods, or through an urban area. I don't see any ambush point in this map. Can you explain the name to me?

I was more or less going off of the literal definition of the word: "an act or instance of attacking unexpectedly from a concealed position."

Other than that, some of the tighter choke points and the control points themselves have at least one or several alternate routes into them that are only one way. So the defenders/attackers can drop onto or behind their opponents unexpectedly. I took a bit of inspiration from Badwater Basin's "control the high ground" theme in this respect.

After reading your comment, I looked into the decal tool. This is going to be fun! Once I get the map functioning from a gameplay point of view, I'll go nuts with this. =)

yeah, your walls are nakey. decals and overlays would help spruce that up. also mentioned are the prop models. pipes etc...
