bahhh, I'm an idiot so I didn't around to submitting (again)

I voted for rawmeat though, good stuff.

How did you do the rice? Was it a rigid body simulation?

I just copy pasted it all by hand, that's why you see a few grains of rice and beans from the burrito hovering slightly above the plate, I didn't get them all perfect. I highly suggest never doing anything like that though. I had to wait minutes at a time for large groups of rice to duplicate, and then massive lag when rotating or translating. It wasn't fun.

Rawmeat you certainly know your way around the kitchen.

Your dish is tangy yet refreshing and your presentation simple but effective. Excellent use of flavours and I really liked the texture of the rice. Top marks from me, you truly are a top chef. Oh and modelling was nice too :D

Ha, I see.

I think I'll take your suggestion. But in order to combat that slowdown, all you had to do is select all your rice and freeze all the transforms.

Either that or merge some clumps of the already placed rice into one mesh, they'll both take alot weight off your scene :)

So what does Freeze Transforms actually do? We Maxers have a button with the same name but I've never used it.

I did both of those actually, but freezing barely helped with the slowdowns, and merging i was hesitant to do (although I did on about half) because I wouldn't be able to manipulate the rice as easily.

And vcool, freezing gets rid of your objects history. So in XSI and Max, after you bevel something you can still come back to that bevel operator and change properties after any amount of editing. The problem with having all that info stored though is that it can really slow down your entire scene, so you've got a choice between performance and being able to modify or delete any operator you want.

thanks Rawmeat. I have not found a menu with the history like that though, I only know of Undo/Redo but thta's probably because I didn't look hard enough.

and Zips - I haven't posted anything in this thread with regards to healthy foods. ^^

I'm getting into modeling now, so hopefully I can start to enter these challenges. My vote went to Meshed. Looks like a great pie and the crust looks really well done.

Also, Raw. I can't help but thinking of maggots when I see your rice.
