Speed Challenge 18 - Intelligence

Postby RawMeat3000 on Fri May 29, 2009 1:22 pm

I remember arguing once with Killa-Kow to Jest@ about how we should have more... interpretable themes. Themes that don't place emphasis on a type of object, but on a type of feeling or idea. Until now there have only been themes like school, spaceships, food; themes that limit your creativity. Now your model must be something that reminds you of the word "intelligence".

Rules are here, battle ends Sunday at midnight PST which is Monday morning GMT. Also technically Monday morning PST, but let's not go there. For other timezones, use basic addition and subtraction.

Oh and also, there's a limit of 10,000 triangles.

Good luck people.

I bumped up against the polygon limit a few times and had to clean up, but I'm still pleased with the result.

Time: 2:10 after rendering
Polycount:9716

well shit, I hate you guys.

I'll pull out :) I'll just PM rawmeat and tell him not to include my entry in the poll.

But I do like it and I would like to flaunt it, so I'll keep it up :D it just won't be in the poll.

Stoop nobody said you should put off. It's a nie model, I don't see why you should pass. It's just that noobs like us won't take part in it, but there are stilcl good modellers here.

Besides, I have quite a lot of modelling/mapping to do anyways so this will just rob me of time. :P

God Dam it. I didn't see the tri-limit in the post. Well that was an hour wasted. I will whip something up for this battle I swear (maybe).

Snoopy, I wasn't going to enter anyway and I just wanted to make it clear that your model made me go "omgwtfbbq" all over the room. You win by default ;) (Unless someone can make something even better D:)

I'm afraid I can't do that stoop. Your model sets a benchmark for excellence now. It means we all have to try even harder to beat you.

And I'm going to. 8)

Not going to be entered, has way to many triangles, what was supposed to be a bulging brain kinda ended up looking like a fro, but whatever,
