Speed Challenge 29 - Sports

Postby RawMeat3000 on Sat Jun 19, 2010 4:01 am

Hello and welcome to the 29th weekly Speed Modeling Challenge! I'll be your host for this session, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! With all the excitement over the World Cup buzzing in the air, I figured sports would be an appropriate theme (thanks to whoever suggested it). If you haven't been enjoying the themes lately, or would like to suggest your own (or see dead cows being crushed in a meat grinder [no that's not a euphemism]), see the >suggestion thread. That's what it's for!

A few rules,

Your model must be made in 2 hours or less

You can't reuse old models

You must post wireframes and renders here (limit is 3 images, but preferably 2), along with triangle counts, amount of time taken.

You can use any render settings, materials and textures you want, as long as it's all from scratch.

I'm probably leaving some stuff out there, but that's the gist of it. The full (old) rules thread is here

This challenge will proooobably end next Friday, but definitely on the weekend. So the 26th on midnight (pacific standard) is when any procrastinators and last minute submitters should get their stuff in.

You've got a nice long week and hopefully a vacation to go with it, so good luck!

You damn well better!

Learning 3ds Max is tough. I wanted to do so much more, but this is all I got. I do like the render manager though.

There's no polycount limit right?
'English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havershambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary Rawlinson End.'
