NEWEST UPDATE: 3/13/08 Viridian City + New Overview

Since the Pallet Town map has been somewhat popular between here and Facepunch, I've decided I'd pause my work on my bank heist map, and work on this for a bit, since this is pretty fun looking.

I have a map here of the areas I'd like to make and clear, basically a graph of some sort showing what is currently done.

fix those camera angles and maybe possibly for the village get a camera rigged / parented to the player so its always near him (would make it easier to see your character

no chase camera? would be awsome if the buildings where 3d and not just sprites....and maybe replace the model i know you wanna stay true to the GBA game. But this isnt PokemonSource this is just a freak remake of pokemon with a wierd angle xD

Well, see, to make the buildings 3d, I'd need side textures, which this game lacks, so I'd either have to somehow attempt to make my own, or use some other texture that obviously wouldn't fit. I could look around the game of course to maybe see if there WAS a side texture, but even then, seeing every building, house, gym, labs, pokecenters, marts, etc, with same side texture might get a little weird.

I dunno, lol.

And by replacing the model, what would you suggest I replace it to? :3

Aside from that lame idea, the map is good, but srred... Its POKEMON. You definitely have the most interesting projects of all the people I know.

Wow that music just snapped my mind back a couple of years. I'm a child once again.. and seeing those Pokéballs in Dr. Oak's lab really brought back the old trilemma - which to choose. Of course Bulbasaur is the easy choice, his grass type is effective against the two first gyms. And by that time you ought to have cought another for the third..

I might have played this too much.. Can't believe I can still remember all this. Some things just stick.

Nah, dude, it's all about Charmander. If you can get his melee attacks up enough to beat Brock, you'll breeze through the next two trainers like nothing at all. You'll need to train up more in melee or get a Pikachu from that first forest to beat Misty, but Charmander is totally the best of the first three. No joke.
