damn son! i aint had much time in the last few days to do much, ganna try and get the next area started this week, and also get some more weapon box's and rations and sounds etc sorted.
i will try and post a daily update (if its worth it) to show whats going on

I just had the best idea, in mgs1, during the fight with psycho mantis the screen goes black and just says hideo to play with the players mind, in metal gear source we should add a fake temporary BSOD

good idea!
thought of the way we can do the codec calls, is have it in another area of the map using a camera, a wall with holes for the characters head with moving textures for the codec animation. just need to create the characters.. and get the audio.. lol

that sounds like a lot of work for the codec, maybe a model would be easier, or some type of brush entity

i would offer to do some vgui programming for the codec but its over my head atm

shweet! looking good. ive done a basic map out of the main building with the tanks, and now the B1 floor, where meryl and darpa chief is. then going to start map out B2 floor with the traps and weapon rooms.. leading to the ocelot battle
