The Never to be Finished Map Pimpage Thread!

Show off any of those maps you've started but never got around to finishing.

I figure the map pimpage thread is mostly comprised of WIP's or mostly complete maps. This is for those maps that have been forgotten and are no longer being worked on. This is their chance to see the light once again and who knows, maybe it will inspire or come back from the dead





A quick render of my first ever custom skybox, made with Terragen 2. I do like the idea of a car disposal place though, so while I probably won't be using this particular layout I might do something with it.

Have nothing to post; but I just wanted to say that I wholeheartedly support this thread. This just might give the right amount of push to get the maps finished.

EDIT: The result of one evening's nostalgia from long ago. Didn't even compile.

First map I ever released, and it's not even done. I didn't really release it, either: I gave it to a couple people to test, and I guess one or some of them spread it. It got some shockingly good reviews, one of them Polish (translated).
Yes, I was known as Defect back then. No, I have no plans to complete it, but I did learn a hell of a lot about combat in areas with multiple vectors of approach.

I was getting really bored of making this map, so I decided to call it quits. Who knows, the stuff on there might end up in another map!

Hmm I think I found one that I was recently working on but stopped building because of lack of ideas, the map itself was created to do some kind of animation (machinima or sth) and is lack one last location (:F), i.e. generator room. I had no ideas how to create it to be kind of good-looking.

Anyway...:











Maybe I convert it to Left4Dead or TF, I don't know. Until I find solution for this map, it will remain in Unfinished Projects folder.
