Actually those are lightmaps lol - I avoided projectedtexture back then because it was still a rather buggy entity (this was in late 2008 as I recall it). And yes, the fingers were there deliberately ;)

I created the whole bedroom set from my own apt that I was staying back then - the blanket texture is a photo of my actual blanket with normals generated by crazybump using a tuned heightmap.

And below are the playable maps that will never be played :(

The mod has since moved on to the UDK (since as we worked it became obvious the level of detail and need for models quickly became apparent, and we knew it'd be a bitch to try and do it via the Source Engine)

The method we went about recreating a street in Ireland was to box out the level, then work on the buildings individually and insert them into the map. Here's a couple I did and them compared to their RL counterparts.

It's quite simple really. I want to be a professional level designer. I want this to be my job.

Also -->CREMATOR666

Exactly WHY won't those levels ever be played? They're breathtaking.

It requires a lot of mix in ep2 and CSS content and I have so far been unsuccessful in bspzipping everything in its entirety. Maybe I'll post it when I have time tho.

If I had a model for a single movie chair I would totally do this over 10x better.

Gm_Movietheater?

That map looks cool; few decals, some better theater lighting (maybe a little more yellowed lighting) and some camera movies and it'd be perfect.

Keep the style, but go with that kind of color.

How did you create such a great texture, if the angle of the photo from the reference isn't straightly from the front...

I've started texturing and to know about this would greatly help!
