How so? I might try to compile it and take some screen shots, but I doubt I will get anymore the 3-5fps at max graphics. :(

The tile is hardly edited form the original picture, but the metal involved a lot of editing to give it that grunge layer.


How it looked before your work? and what kind of effect did you apply to add that rust layer?

I´m just curious because i made a manhole cover model that i wrapped with a picture i took in the street, i´ve worked on the image of course to make it look more game-friendly but now that i see your stuff, i think it would look a lot better if it were like that.

The composite is exactly the same, rusted iron and concrete.

For the metal I basically cheated, I took the original metal texture (http://www.cgtextures.com/texview.php?i ... 85e2bf8aa7) and then overlayed and edited a concrete texture onto it for the grunge and stains. (http://www.cgtextures.com/texview.php?i ... 85e2bf8aa7) Hope this helps!

Oh that was just a cg-texture photo that I made seamless and scaled, but I would imagine that you could achieve the same effect by using a base concrete or blacktop photo and then overlaying the rocks onto it.

I haven't blocked off the areas to confine it to the original map areas. I also never planned on making it 100% like the old version, I am going to make no more changes in game play then the difference between texture_city and texture_city_advanced. Trust me, you will like it once its finished..... I hope...

1 = paint 1 vertex at a time. 5 = paints an array of 5x5 vertexes at a time.

I never really used vert paint until now, since I did mostly inside levels :P Great to know, tho
