I have so many Wips I have worked on and never finished. I have not compiled this yet, but here is a redo of de_cobble for CS:GO. I would like some criticism please :)

That looks great. I notice some pretty bad texture stretching on those displacements though. Planning on using $seamless_scale?

Looks really good apart from i don't like how bright the sky is, tends to hurt the eyes a bit

Compiles shouldn't have to be requested. Also three other people on Facepunch are already remaking de_cobble for CS:GO, not to mention Valve probably is too. Welcome to the forums though, the map does look good.

Yeah looks good on that. I like castles, any kind of castle really and it looks like yours is coming along quite well.

I pretty much camp in the mapping section of facepunch and I have not heard any of that. I really don't care that Valve is making one also probably, this is just a fun project that I hope I can finish, and make it look and play very well. Besides, there are already redos of Valve's maps for competitive play.

The displacements look very nice.
The little turrets look odd, either too big or too small, and form an odd composition with the roof triangles on the little tower on the cliff.

Probably receives better and more realistic being "in the playable area" than in skybox.

What I was planning on doing was, I make it full scale in hammer, then scale it down in the 3D skybox. makes it so much easier. Then I was thinking of how I would get it to work in the 3D skybox and not look bad. the terrain pretty much has to be world geometry, otherwise it looks bad or would have issues. 3D skyboxes are always "behind" the level, so I might have problems.
