I'd assume it's because it's a texture light or a point light on the other side of the door, rather than skybox, because it doesn't match the sunlight angles on the stairwell shot. Either place the light further away from the door, or switch it to skybox. Also, those door frames look a mite thick, but a texture with prebaked shadows fitting the shape would fix it, that or a model.

There's a few more lighting angles to throw in yet so we'll see about that stairwell.

The doorways I intend to get modelled at some point to really boost the detail on them and hopefully alleviate that thickness.

then let me specify, the area behind the forklift is too dark, the entire lower left corner is dark, and the area on the stairs is to dark, I didn't know they were stairs until I gave it a long, hard look

I considered that. But it didn't adequately convey my hatred for them. Good lookin' out, though!

@Miiga: I think the lighting is great. I mean, I'm not expert or anything, but I don't understand why people always say every single part of a map has to be visible. Darkness, if used correctly, just adds more realism. And really, it doesn't look all that dark to me. I can see the parts jgoodroad mentioned just fine. Good work! :smt023
