This is going to be the best looking CSGO map. Even compared to Valve's maps.

Great job. Too bad I won't get to play it.

I would like to see a top down layout of the map to give some feedback! Cs is not about graphics but about gameplay!!

You don't need to buy CS:GO, then. CS 1.6 offers all the gameplay you will ever need.

But I will provide an overview very soon. I just have to draw a version which I can show here. Each bombsite will have multiply entrances (3 to 4) and the CTs will reach the bombsites before the Ts - they can decide to camp them or to go on, and will then clash into the terrorists in the Gallery and the other three main fighting areas. Or a combination of both.

I hope it works out like I designed it :-D

Well, bombsite A has a few similiarities. You can easily identify them by looking at the screenshots I already provided and then playing through Chapter 2 of ME. I mean the one that takes place in the RP&A building, where you discover that Pope was shot.

I am not really copying it, but it looks a lot like it.


I hope to make some good progress this weekend, since my g/f isn't home then :-D

I have SketchUp now and used it to create the layout. It is not pretty, but I used SketchUp for the first time. :-D
I did not put a lot of detail in it and the dimensions are not entirely logical, but for a first overview I think it is sufficient:

The bomb sites seem to be too close together, and too close to the CT spawn. 1 could almost have line of sight to both bombsites from 2 different parts of that map. CT's should be closer so they can defend, but that seems a little much. Don't let an amazing map like this get unnoticed from a bad layout.

I have some (very WIP) screenshots for you. Be aware the brushwork is mostly just placeholders for models, but I tend to forget my ideas if I don't do them in brushwork.

First screen of bombsite B - stuff actually rotates (the currently orange "servers", the fans in the ceiling and the fans in the wall).

Bombsite A has undergone some (cosmetical) changes, too, but I won't add much more detail until after first playtests in CS:S.

I have now done all the floors - you can already run around the whole map. I will now need to finish at least a rough first version, which I will then test in CS:S with bots and then hopefully with some of you guys in a playtest.

I have two screenshots. First one is of the CT-Spawn, showing off the new sky :wink:
Second screenshot shows the middle section of the map. I have a very rough first version done. You can walk around the whole map - everything has walls, roof and floor. I think I will have a first actually playable (in CSS) version in about two weeks, since I have to add at least some details to most sections and so on.

let me know when you have it ready to test. Maybe have a mirror edge like test session with a bunch of lopers jumping in having a good time.

Get it playtest ready! So if there are any gameplay problems, it won't be such a hassle to make (possibly) drastic changes.
