Hey guys! So here's my map that I've been working on. It's a Japanese-themed garden/house thing, still very WIP. I figured I'd post it now since we've gone through a few playtests and I'm more confident with the layout. I'm at the point where I'm going to begin doing some real art passes, though I'm pretty terrible at making custom textures, and mediocre at best creating custom models. If any lovely, wonderfully talented modeler/texture artist is interested and would like to hop on board to help out with the custom content that would be awesome.

Very interesting, I 've allways wanted to do a japanese temple themed map for tf2.

I like how you allready captured the theme with just dev textured brushes.

I don't think the glass windows in the roof (pic 4) fit in though ...

Map looking good, you could probably use those Vietnam props for it? gg_vietnam or what they're called.

The angles look nice. In most of the screens it looks like there's only 2 or 3 entry points to watch. The white dojo walls will make it easy to spot enemies too. Looking cool.

I haven't thought about that actually, you raise a good point. I certainly have a bunch of time to rework the ceiling and try new things. Thanks!

Yeah there's some pretty great foliage props from vietnam/aztec but as far as everything else the gg_vietnam stuff doesn't really fit to well.

I agree the skylights in bomb site A are not very traditional looking. Also the glass cases make it look like it was turned into a museum.
