Time for an Art Battle - pen(cil) on paper

Postby 904 on Tue Sep 08, 2009 10:12 pm

While map battle 38 is now in progress, let's do another art battle!

Show us your drawing skills!

What to do?
Create an actual drawing on real paper. Peferably with pen or pencil, subject and theme are entirely up to you!
To submit, scan it or just take a picture. Postprocessing is allowed, but this is a test of drawing skills, not photoshop skills, keep that in mind.

Some basic rules apply:
- if you post images, please mark as w.i.p. or final.
- please do not use profanity, nudity, stuff like that, you get the idea.
- a maximum of 3 entries per person.

The battle will run for a week and ends next wednesday the 16th at NOON. Check here to see the conversion to your own timezone.

Good luck!

I spammed the chat with this but hey:

The problem is that it isn't on paper, so disregard it.

How would you create a drawing on paper without pen or pencil, unless you're talking about something like making stencils and spraypainting onto the paper, in which case why would you discourage that?

Okay so I've created a whole new style of art - it's called a....

BARRACATURE.

Image

Photoshop: Used to crop it so you don't get a load of my bed sheets in it!

(Here's picture I based it on http://img14.exs.cx/img14/6782/me212.jpg, but you're not a real interloper if you don't know who barrakid is.)

Final (for now I think)

Can it be old or do we have to draw it right now?
If old than

I'm much more a 3D guy though.
It's quite simple really. I want to be a professional level designer. I want this to be my job.

I think should be new ones, rather than old ones, like in the map battles.

Crayons? Charcoal? there are more options for drawing.. It was one of the early suggestions for the art battles, I believe by KILLA-COW. It's broad enough in theme, so a bit of restrictions in material are fine I think.

-me: true death is a lie there is only transformation, unless sciences very core is wrong.
