Ambient Occlusion shader trouble

SourceShaderEditor screenspace ambient occlusion example... the individual shaders (ssao_calc & ssao_fxaa) work, but the shaders that tie them all together (ssao_combine & ppe_ssao) outputs solid black. Are these just simply incomplete, or am I missing something obvious?
