Layout/blueprint planner software

is there any free software for helping you plan out some level design for say Hammer?

Rather than making a bunch of block in hammer I thought it could be sketched out on a graph of sorts on PC.

I Usually draw, just curious.

uh, Google Sketch up i think its called. U can block out basic layouts in 3d.

I use mspaint for basic design, then 3ds max for a more detailed view.
