That smoke effect was really nice, but I have to agree on the blood, to me it looks like huge 2D splatters on the screen, even hl2's blood looks more realistic ;p

I have tried to make some particles in the past, but they have never seemed to work in the sense that i get an error saying
"cannon find particle, 'particlename' "
they only seem to work when tested directly from the editor

Because you need to add your custom particle to the manifest.txt :-D

@ the blood effects: Yes, make them smaller, but look at some videos of the game called Shadow Run. Look how they do it. Your blood looks similar.

Ignoring the obvious texture problems, it is WIP so I don't care really... The explosion is far to slow. The first blast with the white should be super fast, then a mushroom cloud appears after the initial blast. Then the mushroom cloud needs to stay for a LONG time... Just look up some nukes on youtube, but don't use just one reference. And I like to draw out what the particles need to look like on paper in some sort of frame system, to see where the particles should be at times, stops me from starting at the video for to long I guess...

Well the textures are almost as good as they shall get. I will edit them, but yeah i will edit the white, and I had to get off my comp, so i made a quick WIP video. So I never made a duplicate so that the particles stay.
And its not as easy as you'd think to make this. You can't just manipulate it. Its really hard to get exactly what you want. This was after about 2 hours of tinkering and new tests.

Yeah, i'm aware. The thing is, that i'm trying to make it as cpu friendly as possible. because once all those main particles are going at once that thing can drop you down to 15-20 for a few seconds. and that isn't too great. So i'll see what i can do. I might make that initial glow expand to be the shock wave. :P
