i am now officially confused.
edit: oh. when game type is set to None, player height is somewhere around 128. when it's set to UTgame, player height is 96. i never even knew that option was there.
i had fun once, and it was awful.

It must default the collision cylinder to 128 when not using UTGame and UTGame changes it to 96.

The player height is always the same, the position of the camera is what changes

ah, good to know.

is there a configuration file somewhere i should be writing to if i don't intend for the finished package to be a dm map?
i had fun once, and it was awful.

More than likely it is in a uc file though.

can i assign BSP/CSG faces to smoothing groups, or do i need to wait until i make a proper model out of this bit?

no smoothing in udk for bsp

you can export it to a model and then work with it though

ahahaha, just now found the "act like you're playing soccer" button
edit: accidentally snapped my neck and killed my guy trying to dive for one too many penalties =/
