Recruiting Level Designers

Postby D.E.L.B. on Wed Aug 03, 2011 11:15 am

Hi,

I'm recruiting 3 level designers for my project for HL2 (Source Engine). The requirements are:

[*]To co-operate well in a dedicated team.
[*]Must have Steam to communicate with me and other team members.
[*]Must show previous portfolio of work (Outdoor enviroments i.e. City 17/Urban style is preferred).
[*]Has good knowledge of the entire HL universe, HL1 knowledge is required slightly. You'll need to know HL2 though, that's for sure.

Leave a post here, or you can contact me via these options:
E-Mail: GTAPreviews@hotmail.co.uk
Steam: indi_
Interlopers: PM my username.

It is a prequel to HL2 involving around the events of Alyx Vance, if you have any questions, leave a message.

If you add me to Steam, I have a draft of the story written up and concept art.

If you mean concept to show, I'm not posting... I'd rather people add me first.

In order to hire you are going to need to most some quality work already completed in order to have any chance at hiring and nobody will contact you for this as there are about 100 million other threads like this.

I'll post concept in a bit, I gotta go out now hunting for a new Netbook.

Nothing done in-game yet, want to get a team together first.

Be back in a bit.

Nah I'm level designer, leader and texture artist.

I've led several mods before, my most notable one is the GTA: San Andreas mod, JAWS: San Andres.

It is a start.

Posted a bit at ModDB too. If Interlopers isn't the type of place to post for beginning a mod... then if you can recommend any other sites would be awesome.

I know a few level designers, but they're all busy with their own stuff.

No it is the place, just, people need to know it's worth putting their time and effort into this project and knowing it's not going to fall apart because it isn't properly established and supported. I believe this is the point the above posters are saying. As long as you can show it's got a chance and isn't someone saying 'hey guise ima make a mod can some of u guise map for it kthx' then you'll likely get a couple of replies.

I would if I wasn't working on a mod already.

Thanks for the reply man.

Well, I can tell ya I want this to happen, I'm not a guy that bails on something quickly "If I start something, I'm going to finish it".

I've E-Mailed a Sound Designer already, he's worked on Fable.
