Custom Made Props for your Maps and Mods!

Postby Major Banter on Sun Sep 04, 2011 3:29 pm

Why hello there!

I'm about to do a casual spot of site plugging, for the simple reason I hope people here would more likely trust me than a 'dumpling' or a bot.

I recently commissioned two weapons - a Makarov and an SKS. You've seen them in Model Pimpage, here they are in their fully-finished glory. Fully rigged and boned, ready for animating. Tailored to my needs.

Please note that the SKS rifle is a modified original model from Stoopdapoop.

What did I get?

-Helpful, speedy service (A+++++++, will buy from again)

-A very quick turnaround for additions or changes

-Full spec maps, AO, texturing and fully rigged to my specifications

-Completely original models, with ownership rights and easy discounts

And it was cheap, without that hassle of getting a new modeller, checking them out, recruiting them, waiting half a year for a mediocre piece of crap and then having to do half the work yourself. (Surfa did an amazing job on that AK though, big props to him)

"So where to go MB? Where to get these amazingly phat models and amazing service?"

Black_stormy's

On top of that, he's doing a text interview for PlanetPhillip in the coming weeks. HOW COOL RITE.

And no, it's not a scam. Banter's seal of approval. Go and google a seal or something.

I´d go the other way around. I´d model my weapons and then get a service like this to animate and code them into the game. Sometimes that later part takes a lot more of effort and time specially for people not used to it.

Id do the same. The real pain when doing models is the compiling :D

I'm sorry but I agree, these are some pretty normal models and you're asking a lot for them.

Hey thanks for the massive plug MB, I'm glad you're happy with them.

Prices aren't only for the models, they include compilation, sometimes concepting, rigging and animation, and always full rights to the model, you can modify, distribute and do whatever else you want to with it. Quotes are free so if you don't agree with the price there are no obligations. There are other ways to get your models into your mod, I just want to provide one. So far everyone has been very happy with what their money got them.

From the pricing I have seen you can't be expecting to get 3ps quality models for that you would be paying like 20-30 times the pricing I saw on the site. But then again maybe I am missing something. Personally I don't see how this harms anyone Black_Stormy gets to learn from the process and if the clients are happy to pay the amount then who does this harm?

I say a bit on the pricey, but just wondering about how much would it be to do like a batch of, post modelling stuff, Like I create I high poly sculpted couch and blender then send it to you, and you bake normals unwrap, specular, texture, compile and send it back, IE I make it look like what I want then you make it ready for source.

I predict that my model requests could get QUITE expensive.

That is what happened with the SKS up there, the highpoly was originally by Stoopdapoop on these forums. And yes, it would knock something off the price, but every model is different and so I do quotes individually. There is a form on the website, feel free to ask, there's no obligations.

Again, no harm in asking!
