Oh my, how embarassing! Even more embarassing - it's NULL, not Nodraw. Goldsource doesn't have Nodraw!
Still, I guess that explains why they've to be kept upright!

Actually, I think there is a nodraw in GoldSRC - it's a part of the ZHLT WAD if you're using the ZHLT compiler (And frankly, you should be. :P). I could be completely mistaken, though. Not that it matters, it's pretty much the exact same thing as null.

ZHLT is terribly outdated these days, although there was no Nodraw when it was the standard. It is the same thing as NULL and BEVEL combined, really.

If you're interested, the best compile tools for Goldsource are Vluzacn's HLT.

You'd be surprised at how many commercial games have things like that. It's just a very minor design oversight. Nothing to be embarrassed about, honestly.

Hey guys, I have a favour to ask!
The Core has been nominated for Mod of The Year on ModDB, and we're doing incredibly well in the Half-Life category. If you could vote for us, you'd forever have my gratitude!
You don't need to register if you don't have an account, and it's just a single mouse-click half way down the page.

It'd mean an awful lot to myself and Andy if we could reach a wider audience through this, so pretty please take 20 seconds to vote if you think we're worth it!

While my environments are by no means as grand as Archie's, I like piling in the detail here and there, and playing with lighting is one of my new favourite things. Yeah, kinda weird...

Need to get this finished so I can start playing with Source.

(Not sure I like the black cables now I look at it again... might take them out before my next compile.)

Playing with lighting is the most fun a mapper can have

Agreed. Lighting will make or break a map imo.

those videos will have a greater legacy in my mind than the mod itself.

That really sings. Great job, I truly am beginning to think this is really one of the best aesthetically built mods I have seen on GoldSrc.

Excuse the double post,
The core's SVN log really does provide a startlingly accurate insight into the devlopment process:

Haha sounds like a good team.

On a side note, am I the only one who has never put notes against commits?
