The Battlegrounds 2 is an American Revolutionary war modification for Half Life 2. Over 12 years old now with 7 years running on Valve's source engine. The first of it's kind when it was released, the mod has helped inspire many similar mods over the years including "Mount and Musket" which led to the eventual development and release of the "Napoleonic Wars" dlc for Mount and Blade Warband.
The development team is looking for fresh new talent to help update and improve this classic mod. We're looking for team players willing to put in a good amount of work, and who can cooperate well with others. The current skills needed are:
Modeler: Everything from environmental props, to player models and weapons. Must also be able to properly UV map, and texture their own models.
Programmer: C++, with a working knowledge of the source engine.
Animator: Cleanup of existing animations and creation of new ones, experience with source engine preferred.
Mapper: Must be able to design maps with an emphasis on ticket mode gameplay, attack and defend and capture the flag. An exciting opportunity to experiment with different map types and design builds.
This would be an excellent opportunity to join a mod with a great history and set in an exciting era. If you're just starting out in modding or are a seasoned pro you'll find a great home on the bg2 dev team.
