Hey Everyone!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the site, but, i've been busy working in the industry for a while. And, having worked in the industry for a while I’ve decided to setup my own company FingerPunch Games Ltd and ‘hopefully’ work with passionate, like-minded people who are looking for a future in the industry.

Interlopers.net has always been a great place for me, to work with like-minded, helpful, talented people. Many of you have helped me over the years, which, in turn, has made me the designer I am today, and has ultimately helped me work on numerous paid projects, and helped towards finding work in the industry as a whole, for which I’m truly grateful.

FingerPunch Games is a brand new start-up, with numerous projects that I would like to start creating prototypes for, which will help facilitate publisher backing, kickstarter campaigns/backing, other lines of funding and grants, or all of the above. FingerPunch Games have already secured a small amount of funding from a TV company to produce a small title for them, but, due to the size of the fund and the target market, it is unlikely that the Return On Investment will be enough to fund any future projects after the product has been released.

The company, currently, has no paid employees, but with a strong enough prototype, should provide enough funding opportunities for full-time employment for the lifecycle of the project(s), and for the sustained, continued growth of the company, and the security of paid employment for the long term. This is where you come in….!

The prototype is simply a tool to showcase the games to publishers, and provide a strong kickstarter (or other crowdfunding opportunities) campaign. Therefore, the final project may not ‘necessarily’ be completed using the Source engine, but this will depend on the restrictions of the engine, based on the games mechanics and requirements to ensure the games achieve a high level of detail and quality gaming experience for the player.

There are numerous project ideas, with numerous genres; from battle simulation games to FPS games, racing games, to classic/retro game re-creations and more. Some projects are designed for handheld devices (iOS, Android, Windows RT etc.), where other projects are designed for the major platforms (PC, PS3/4, Xbox etc.).

However, due to the overall percentage rate of Interlopers members’ experience of working in an FPS perspective, it would be easier to take one of the FPS projects and roll with that.
These are:
1) A World-changing-event based FPS.
2) An abstract, futuristic, post-apocalyptic FPS.

These FPS projects have been designed to run in a series, and can be produced/released in any order, due to their inter-connected storylines.

I cannot shed too much light on the projects as these will be discussed in much greater detail once company NDA’s are signed. This is purely to protect My/FingerPunch Games Ltd's IP.

IF PFX artist is a "Particle Artist", you might wanna change that to VFX. And you'd probably want to show some screenshots of other games you helped develop. Else I doubt any one is gonna consider. Though your linkedin says you've worked on dear esther, and other various projects. Not every one has a linkedin account, and there for cant log in to view what you've done.

Wow I have played all of your mods and I didn't realise they were made by the same guy. Transitions was pretty bad, as I recall. Difficult as fuck but it was your first and I guess you made your peace with als and dear esther. Also korsakovia was one of the most immersive and gut wrenching mods I have played, damn it was good. Good luck with striking out on your own, I'd like to hear more about the projects you have in mind and your vision for the company.

Thanks Black_Stormy, it's great to hear you loved Kosakovia so much, it was a very....interesting project to work on, but great fun to make with thechineseroom. Transitions was indeed a terrible game, but was my first, released mod and was good enough to get me through University :).
