TF2 - The Classless Update

Postby Psy on Tue Aug 11, 2009 9:59 pm

Unlike other updates, Valve have announced the first classless update, meaning that there is no focus on a specific class.

Day 1 - 18 New Hats and Arena_Offblast
Day 2 - King of The Hill Mode, Koth_Viaduct, Koth_Nucleus and Koth_Sawmill
Day 3 - Release Notes, CTF_Sawmill, Cp_Yukon, Custom animations for the losing team and release

I trust that the goodies will coming soon such as the retooling of most of the classes, the new 5CP map and the dynamically scaling map they mentioned in an interview a while back.

I honestly can't wait for the changes to the classes. The engineer getting a wrench which can erect buildings superfast, the Spy suit that reduces fire damage by 90%, the new gloves for the Heavy that allow him to run at pyro speed with the downside of reducing his health, and many other things.

/me is excited

Pretty much what I was thinking. Valve have the power to make the uninteresting interesting.

King of the Hill!

The Ushanka just makes the Heavy even more lovable.

Valve has shown off two hats I've made versions of already, let's see how many more of the same ideas they had. :D

I want a total rework of the Pyro. As of now he's the cheapest, most annoying class in the game. All you do is hold down the fire button and run around; it takes no skill at all. It's like the only interesting thing about the Pyro is his character and his flare gun. Some other classes might need some balancing as well.
