Is this what a starving child feels like when he's promised a hearty meal?

It's a great feeling, but I can't say I really enjoy being in this situation.

This is great to hear! I hope they allow us to create our own shortcut keys. (I still can't believe there isn't one for special paste)

Why not just decompile the model, create a new QC file and give it a $scale keyvalue?

Because there are about fifty thousand ways that can and probably will go horribly terribly horrendously wrong, and only one way it could go right.

Also it's a lot of work that could be avoided if we had a scaling system like unreal. Just sayin.

the petition was kind of like beating a dead horse since all the problems were so obvious and old and discussed that an overhaul is the next logical step, but its so nice that they listened and let us know that they care via a one sentence answer in a podcast

hopefully they come up with a whole new approach to tools design and integration, i.e., an approach, but it would be REALLY nice if they would just fix a couple of the 2007 crash bugs in the meantime

they have a great opportunity to just take some time and build new highly functional and integrated tools from the ground up. a new approach to bsp might be pushing it but that would be nice ya

they should make hl2dm running on the current hl2orange engine :P would save me some irritation why this isn't done yet..... they should clean up the source SDK it became a mess.... all hl2 stuff should run in the same engine..... and sudenly it becomes less a mess.... the reason that SDK became fucked up was because valve decided it was a good idea to trow all the diverent sdk stuff in one stuffed dir.... i hope it would change in to 1 simple engine instead of 3 diverent engines of the same branch

Well I would imagine that the next major update would me a merged version, where we get most of the features built up in the branches.

If not this SDK Update we could expect it in EP3.
