1:05 am EST = 4:05 pm for me! I believe that is a win on my part. :D

Looks amazing, I'll be sure to get in on the beta.

BTW, I just love how Valve is still reusing those wrecked car models from HL2 in their games almost 8 years on.

I'm sorry but that looked terrible. I know it's a work in progress but still, those models look like they are from firearms:source the hud is cluttered and it just looks bad and fake.

I personally love the way it's looking, although I do agree that way the view models look is less than desirable.

Yeah I agree with Arma here. Honestly some stuff looks really inconsistent in quality. Considering they are using the newest Portal 2 Engine I'd thought they go all out. Source can seriously be taken to the max on that engine branch, and this isn't very "max" at all.

I'm seeing things like old decals, old ass Hl2 props, hl2 materials. Like honestly, that content is just ugly now
I'd rather they use content from l4d2 instead, feels much better.

View models are looking a bit iffy too, but I'm sure valve will art pass the fuck out of everything. CSGO could be a very pretty game, considering that the Portal engine like I previously mentioned is balls to the wall awesome. I really hope they push Source with this game, because honestly they can do it, they really have nothing majorly expensive going on.

Actually they are using quite a lot of L4D2 content when you see glances of some of the new maps. And personally it doesn't fit very well, L4D2 has a sort of cartoony look to it, or painterly look. Seriously they are still using the WORST looking models from CSS still. The weapon models could work, I really just don't like the hands and strange specular maps, and the animations are terrible. And seriously, THOSE CARS???? But again, they still have a whole year to work on it and I'm sure this is like the alpha stages to them.

It looks like the L4D2 dev-team is working on CS: Global Offensive.. at least when looking at viewmodel/gun animations. Same stupid "staticness" is seen there, not as fluid anims as in CS: Source.

But, overall I like what I see there. Can't wait for the release. :)

Hrmm. Graphics aren't as great as I was hoping, but to be honest I'm more interested in gameplay changes so they'll do for now and I'm sure a few custom assets here and there will make community maps look prettier.

Lightning: A dazzling discharge of electric sparks in the atmosphere, often preceding thunder.
