About Me: Hi thanks for looking at my Portfolio, im a level designer, texture artist and modeler mainly focused on creating work on Valve's Source Engine. I've been very interested in game/level design since a very early age and when i was younger i pursued a job in the game industry to only be knocked back.

Since then i have worked my hardest to learn how to use the tools of the trade, mapping for HL1 for an unreleased project and then moving to the Quake 3 engine to map for Jedi Knight Outcast/Academy, where i'm better remembered for creating the extremely popular Survival Mod series and coming first in the Map-Review.Com FFA Mapping Challenge. Since then i have mapped for various Source engine based games such as HL2:DM, Counter Strike: Source and more recently as level designer at Jailbreak!: Source, where i have been responsible for Level design, Textures, Prop and Weapon Modeling, Skins, Sound and Graphics.

My current mapping style is 'Fantasy/Futuristic' Environments that are made to be fun as well as being optimized to run on a wide range of systems. I also like to think i have a wide mapping range, as can be seen in my map shots ...

Models and Textures

Since joining the Jailbreak: Source team in April 2007 i have endeavoured to use only my own models (and skins) in my maps, in order to keep strong and consistent themes. Of all of the shots above of my Jailbreak maps, all but a couple of models are completely custom.

Also in Jailbreak: Source i am responsible for a large portion of the 2D art, from skybox's to player model skins (Robot Male and the Dinosaur's. Models by Azelito) map textures to weapon skin tweaks.

A lot of these prop models are quite basic (especially most of the spaceships) but i'm constantly learning and slowly becoming fairly adept at using XSI Mod Tool.

Coming soon, custom texture's

Thanks for checking my portfolio, more updates will come with time so just keep checking back!

Your style is amazing in my opinion, you really catch the atmosphere. I especially like the look of dm_neon.

That reskinned citizen seriously freaks me out

Although you got the visual style down in dm_neon (it's very pretty) your layout is, to be honest, quite poor. Same with dm_forsaken. They are very simplistic, and strike me as nothing more than killboxes with fancy walls. That said, the architecture and texture work is VERY nice.

This sort of thing shouldn't happen in future projects I hope. A bad layout isn't going to impress no matter how pretty the map may look!

Thanks for the comments fella's. To be honest though yep DM_Forsaken on reflection would seem like it has no layout but at the time it was only a test map (my first on source) and was purposely released as a sniper map (hence the tower and very little cover) but to say Neon could be classed in the same light is slightly insulting considering the effort made to make it balanced BUT i do agree that it was poorly built when it come to optimisation and was more of a 'look how pretty this is' map. We live and learn eh ;)

Again thanks for your comments fella's and i hope you look forward to my future projects!!
