Speed Challenge 19 - Sound

Postby RawMeat3000 on Fri Jun 05, 2009 10:49 pm

I'm liking these new themes, they give you so much more freedom to be creative, and to relate your model to your own life. Say you work around loud cars all day, or maybe you own one, that could be your model. Or you play drums or guitar. That could be your model. So for everyone who wanted musical instruments as the theme, this should be a good substitute.

All the usual rules apply; post a render and wireframe in this thread, along with a triangle count and time spent.

But like last battle there's a poly limit of 10,000 triangles.

The challenge ends a little before noon on Monday GMT, or sometime very late at night Sunday PST. For more time zones refer to this.

Hmm... I have an idea, but I don't know if I can do it within the tri-limit :( I'll try and come up with something, again!

Lolololol Forgot about the tri-limit again so delete some of the models and make them again but more blocky/low poly anyway here it is.

Tri-Count: 9330

Time: 1 hour 30mins (alot of fannying around)
Now I go sleepy time.

Yep I was being lazy which is probably not the best thing to do when entering a competition of such.

asdaskjghasgd!

A time limit and a poly limit, I think we shoudl have one or the other, I don't like having to omit details, or not be able to sculpt during the challenge :(

But I'll still enter of course.

Bah! I can't raise the polygon count now, because I'd feel bad about making Surfa edit his scene. No it'll stay, and I was hoping I could have them from now on, and set it at anywhere from 10k to 100k, but then you mentioned sculpting. I never thought about that.

Maybe I'll just get rid of it after this battle. It only causes trouble.

I'll just get rid of it all together then. And I'll be making something sometime today or tonight.

And actually, I'll extend it for another day if you really need it vcool. Maybe it'll even give TicTac time?

Sorry raw, but I'm not in the modeling mood tonight :( I'm getting closer and closer to finishing my portal map, so I'm trying to spend more time in hammer than MAX ;)

I'll try to get something in for the next challenge, don't worry!
