Genetic Component of GLaDOS?

The full name for the acronym GLaDOS is Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System. What I'm wondering is, is GLaDOS a bio-organic computer? Would that explain the irrationality of GLaDOS's personality?

Conceivably, the 'Genetic' could refer to a genetic algorithm. Perhaps GLaDOS evolved?
