Nah modo doesn't support the hl2 skeleton rig and therefore can't be used to animate for source. But you could easily create your geometry in modo then export to xsi/3ds/maya to animate.

So I would need to buy modo and 3ds? How good is 3ds for modeling. Sorry I'm such a noob. I've never modeled before.

I don't wanna sound, I don't know...biased? but 3DS Max is excellent for modelling.

I agree, I've tried mod tool, blender, and 3ds. I like the UI, layout, and everything in 3ds better than the others. Only complaint, in XSI you could easily extrude (holding down shift, i think?). 3ds is a lil more complicated.

May aswell post my bridge from a while back then, not sure if a ropebridge fits the pedestrian theme but whatever :P

I think that bridge fits. It just needs to have some slack on it like it did in your reference.
